When were you born? December 30th, 1989. Where do you live? I live in San Clemente, California. How long have you been skating? I've been skating for six years. What do you like about skating? It's fun and you can go fast and high. What kind of skating do you like to do? Street skating, like the street courses, and miniramps. What new tricks are you working on? Benihana finger flips and pop shove-it mute grabs. That's pretty much it. Who are your favorite skaters? They'd have to be Rodney Mullen and Bob Burnquist. What do you like about those guys? Bob Burnquist is really good at vert, and Rodney Mullen does all these technical tricks that I don't even know what they are. Does your dad help you out a lot? Yes, he does. He helps me put my runs together. So does my mom. Who are some of your friends that you like to skate with? Michael and Galvin. I don't usually skate with friends at my house, but when I go to Volcom parties I skate with Michael and Galvin. What do you have at your house? I have a miniramp, and then on the side yard I have a quarterpipe and a tabletop with a box on it, then a big launcher out front. Who are your sponsors? Okay Etnies, Volcom, Grind King, I.W.S. Board Shop, World Industries, Nixon, ProTec, Shorty's Hardware and Oakley. What do you think about being in this contest, skating against all these guys who are older than you? I think it's going to be fun. Will it be a challenge? Yeah, definitely. What's your strategy? Skate or die. What do you think of the street course here? It's pretty nice; it's fun, it's smooth. What do you want to be doing five years from now? Skateboarding. What subjects do you like in school? Math and spelling. Do you want to go to college? Yeah. What advice do you have to kids who are just starting out skating? Never give up, just keep skating.
